Australia to test drive ABIS developed for US by Northrop Grumman

Australia to test biometric system (UPI)
Australia's Defense Department has received a trial proof of concept for an automated biometric information system from Northrop Grumman.

The proof of concept, modeled after the U.S. Department of Defense Automated Biometric Identification System, will be used to produce biometrically enabled intelligence.

West Virginia: Senators, FBI to Celebrate Construction of Biometrics Facility

Construction is scheduled to wrap up by the end of 2013 (Huntington Herald-Dispatch)
It will house biometrics staff of both the Department of Defense and the FBI.

Employees will move in during the first half of 2014.

Ultimately, some 160 Defense employees and some 1,200 FBI employees will occupy the space.
