The Niger State Head of Service, Alhaji Ibrahim Matene, has said that investigation has revealed that the state has over 2,000 ghost workers, adding that an additional 4,700 civil servants were being screened over e-payment irregularities.The implementation of biometric identity management systems are a cost effective first step towards reducing corruption and increasing trust in vital national institutions.
